We are in the process of building a transitional home for homeless single mothers and we could use your help. We will serve single parent mother’s in need of housing and assistance. Participants will have one year to plan, establish and achieve set goals in the areas of housing, financial, and self-sufficiency. Life plans will involve assessment of educational status, job/career goals, childcare, money management and a financial savings plan.
There will be group meetings, support groups, and individual meetings. Meetings will address issues such as self-esteem, self-sufficiency, abuse, addictions, parenting, relationships, and identity. Participants will receive counseling and be assigned a caseworker, who will link participants with resources in the community. Upon leaving they will receive life coaching, mentorship, counseling (if needed), and continued support. If you would like to donate please do so through the link provided.
All programs will be free and participants will not be required to pay but will be required to have a savings account where a portion of their income will be put away until they graduate program. Upon graduation and permanent placement, they will have saved enough for their own down payment and enough savings in case of emergencies. If you would like to donate please do so through the link provided.
